About the Event
A special lantern-making workshop, open to deaf and hard of hearing women only (Derby, Derbyshire) with transcriber and BSL interpreter (support in partnership with Deaf-initely).
Create your own lantern using willow and tissue paper. Our decoration themes are climate chagne and celebrating NHS/key workers. The lanterns being created in this workshop will be made using biodegradable materials including willow and tissue paper. The lanterns will use energy-efficient LED lights and will be held up on bamboo sticks. No lanterns will be released into the air. Finished lanterns can be carried in the Derby Lantern Parade on 13th November.
Places are limited, so early booking is essential. If workshop is full, please email Surtal Arts (info@surtalarts.co.uk ) , to be put on our reserve list.
