Record Breaking Bollywood Dance

Ilkeston School Specialist Arts College alongside other schools in the area will be attempting to break a Guiness World Record in Bollywood Dance in Ilkeston’s Market Place as part of IF11@ Schools program.  Approximately 3000 students will be taught the dance by Surtal Arts assisted by a troupe of backing dancers who will be participating in this event as part of their Art Award qualification from Ilkeston School:Specialist Arts College.  Celebrity Des Coleman (BBC Weatherman; the One Show; Eastenders) will be the compere on the day and the Midlands Co-operative Society Limited will be collecting money for their charity the Motor Neurone Disease Association.  The attempt will be preluded by an Indian Drumming performance, guaranteed to put you in the mood.
