This week long summer school of music – July 27th – Aug 1st

  • Open to all young people wanting to attain an Arts Award, a nationally recognised accreditation from Trinity College – London

The summer school timetable will be as follows:

  • Date:                Monday 27th July to Friday 31st July 2015
  • Time:                9:30am – 3:30pm         (lunch 12:15pm-1pm)
  •  Venue: Indian Community Centre Association, Rawdon Street, Derby. DE23 6QR
  • Participants should bring a packed lunch with them.

ARTS AWARD – A National Qualification through TRINITY COLLEGE LONDON

What is Arts Award?

Arts Award motivates and celebrates young people’s artistic achievements. Young people can achieve an award through any arts, media or cultural activity, developing knowledge and understanding of their chosen art forms.

  • A nationally recognised qualification for young people aged up to 25
  • A portfolio based framework that develops arts practice and arts leadership skills
  • Arts Award is supported and assessed by the assigned adviser

Bronze Award – 11 – 14/16yrs   – Working for pre-GCSE level

Level 1 – 40 hours guided learning + 20 hours independent learning

Silver Award – 14/16 – 18/25yrs -Working at high GCSE level

Entry Level 2   – 60 hours guided learning + 35 hours independent learning
